Court Services

The Juvenile Court offers a multitude of evidence-based services and programs to the youth and families of Richland County. Those services include Community Control and Probation, Victim Services, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Intake and Diversion, Community Services & Volunteer Charity Work, Truancy Education, Early Childhood Referral Services, Elementary School Engagement, Aggression Replacement Training (ART), Advocate Intervene & Mentor Program (AIM), and Human Trafficking Assessment and Referral Services.
Court Services Mission Statement
We envision the role of Court Services as that of a catalyst for developing safe communities and healthy youth and families. We believe we can fulfill this role by:
- Building and maintaining community-based partnerships
- Supporting community safety, holding offenders accountable, and assisting youth to develop competencies
- Implementing strength-based services which are evidence-based and outcome driven
- Advocating for and addressing the needs of victims, offenders, families, and communities
- Obtaining and sustaining sufficient resources
- Promoting the growth and development of all Juvenile Court Services professionals
